- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Dried cranberries or currants (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the heavy cream and beaten egg until just combined.
- If using, fold in dried cranberries or currants.
- Pat the dough into a circle, about 1 inch thick. Cut into wedges.
- Place the dough wedges on a baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with butter or jam.
