Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 14 ounces Super Firm Tofu
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure crispy texture.
  2. Mix the nutritional yeast, cornstarch, water, soy sauce, granulated garlic, and onion powder in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Break the super firm tofu into bite-sized chunks and fold into the paste until fully coated.
  4. Arrange the coated tofu on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 30 minutes until crispy.
  5. Toss baked tofu with BBQ sauce until coated, then return to baking sheet.
  6. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the BBQ sauce.
