- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 medium bananas)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Spoon the banana bread donut batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the banana bread donuts comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, dust the banana bread donuts with powdered sugar, if desired.
