- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- For the Cinnamon Apples:
- 2 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For the Cinnamon Streusel Topping:
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- For the Topping:
- 1/3 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Make the sugar cookie crust: Cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into the prepared pizza pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let cool slightly.
- Prepare the apples: Toss thinly sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Make the streusel topping: Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add cold butter and work it in until coarse crumbs form.
- Assemble the pizza: Layer the cinnamon apples over the crust. Sprinkle the streusel over the apples.
- Bake again for 15-18 minutes, until apples are tender and streusel is golden.
- Let the dessert pizza cool for 10-15 minutes. Drizzle generously with caramel sauce before serving. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
