Description

A delicious pasta dish featuring succulent prawns, aromatic garlic, and a kick of fresh chillies, all coated in a rich tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 200 g linguine
  • 200 g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 pieces red chillies, chopped (Adjust based on heat preference)
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients: linguine, prawns, garlic, chillies, canned tomatoes, and olive oil.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the linguine, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  4. Add minced garlic and chopped chillies, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Introduce the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  7. Toss the cooked linguine into the pan with the sauce, stirring until well coated.
  8. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
  9. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh basil before serving hot.
