- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 package phyllo pastry or puff pastry
- to taste fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a skillet, add a little oil over medium heat. Sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Gently fold in the prepared shrimp until evenly coated.
- If using phyllo pastry, unroll and cover with a damp cloth. If using puff pastry, roll out to desired thickness and cut into 3-inch squares.
- Place a spoonful of the shrimp and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold over the corners and pinch edges to seal tightly.
- Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
