Description
Cinnamon Roll Muffins are soft, fluffy treats with swirls of cinnamon sugar. They are quick to make and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack.

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for filling)
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. Lightly grease the liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar, then add melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix ⅓ cup brown sugar with 1 tsp cinnamon to create the filling.
- Spoon half the muffin batter into the liners, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mix, then top with the remaining batter. Swirl gently with a toothpick.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk (plus cream cheese if using) until smooth and drizzle over cooled muffins.
Notes
- Store muffins in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- These muffins freeze well; thaw before serving.
- For extra flavor, add nuts or raisins to the batter.
