These Cotton Candy Cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with nostalgic carnival flavor. With pastel swirls of pink and blue dough and sweet cotton candy essence, they’re fun, whimsical, and perfect for parties, birthdays, or anytime you want a magical treat.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tsp cotton candy flavoring
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pink food coloring
- Blue food coloring
- Optional: pink and blue sprinkles
- Optional: cotton candy pieces (added just before serving)
Instructions
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
- Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.
- Divide dough into two bowls. Color one pink and one blue.
- Pinch small amounts of each color and gently swirl together. Roll into balls (do not overmix colors).
- Place dough balls on a lined baking sheet and chill for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Add cotton candy pieces on top right before serving (optional).
