Country Fried Pork Chops with Creamy Bacon Gravy

- 4 pork chops (boneless)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- oil (for frying)
- 6 bacon slices (chopped)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1.25 cups milk
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Whisk eggs and milk together.
- Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Dredge chops in flour, dip in egg mixture, then dredge again.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry pork chops until golden and cooked through.
- Cook chopped bacon in skillet until crispy; remove and reserve.
- Add butter to bacon drippings and melt.
- Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute to form a roux.
- Slowly add milk and broth, whisking until smooth.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
- Stir in cooked bacon.
- Pour gravy over pork chops and serve warm.
