- 25 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Peppermint Filling:
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- Red food coloring (optional)
- 1 cup crushed candy canes, divided
- Optional Toppings:
- Additional whipped topping
- Extra crushed peppermint or mini candy canes
- Chocolate curls or shavings
Instructions
- Combine crushed Oreos with melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract; mix until fluffy.
- Gently fold in whipped topping. Add a few drops of red food coloring if desired and mix in 3/4 cup crushed candy canes.
- Spread peppermint filling into chilled crust and smooth the top.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
- Add extra candy canes, whipped topping, or chocolate curls before serving.
