Easy and deliciously chocolatey cookies rolled in powdered sugar, perfect for a cozy weekend treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter with 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
  4. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop out tablespoon-sized pieces of dough and roll them into balls.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, do not let them brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before rolling in powdered sugar.
  9. Once completely cool, roll again in powdered sugar for a snowy effect.

Notes

  • Soften butter in the microwave for 10 seconds if needed.
  • Fluff powdered sugar before rolling to avoid lumps.
  • Dutch-processed cocoa can be used for richer flavor.
