A hearty, Tex-Mex inspired skillet dinner made with sautéed cabbage, seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and crunchy Fritos on top. Easy, budget-friendly comfort food.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 6 cups green cabbage (shredded)
- 10 oz diced tomatoes with green chiles (canned)
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 0.5 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1–1.5 cups Fritos corn chips (lightly crushed)
- 2 tbsp green onions (sliced)
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in shredded cabbage and cook until it begins to wilt.
- Add diced tomatoes, taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Simmer for 8–10 minutes until cabbage is tender.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over skillet; cover to melt.
- Remove from heat and top with crushed Fritos.
- Garnish with green onions and serve warm.
