Description
Creamy Garlic Shrimp Gratin: Better Than Restaurant Quality
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side until they just turn pink. Remove the skillet from heat.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir to incorporate all the garlicky goodness from the pan. Gently fold in half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Transfer the shrimp and cream sauce to a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheeses evenly over the top, then coat with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.
- Let the gratin rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread for soaking up that incredible sauce.
Notes
- Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
- Adjust garlic quantity based on your preference.
