  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side until they just turn pink. Remove the skillet from heat.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir to incorporate all the garlicky goodness from the pan. Gently fold in half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  5. Transfer the shrimp and cream sauce to a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheeses evenly over the top, then coat with the panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.
  7. Let the gratin rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with crusty bread for soaking up that incredible sauce.
