Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup cooked seasoned rice
- 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup tortilla strips (or crushed tortilla chips)
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons butter (for grilling)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
- Warm tortillas to prevent tearing.
- Assemble burritos: spread a spoonful of nacho cheese sauce in the center, add seasoned rice, taco beef, a handful of tortilla strips, and a drizzle of sour cream.
- Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the filling.
- Roll the burrito tightly, folding in the sides as you go.
- Sprinkle extra shredded cheese onto a skillet. Place the burrito seam-side down on the cheese and grill over medium heat until the cheese forms a golden crust.
- Flip and grill the other side if desired.
- Serve warm with extra nacho cheese or sour cream.
