- Pour in cold buttermilk and stir just until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently pat it into a rectangle.
- Fold the dough over itself a few times to create layers, then flatten to 1-inch thick.
- Use a biscuit cutter or floured glass to cut out circles.
- Place biscuits close together on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
