Description
These honey garlic glazed lamb chops deliver a perfect balance of sweet and savory in every succulent bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 lamb chops (about 1 inch thick)
- to taste Salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
Instructions
- Remove the lamb chops from the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before cooking, then pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place the lamb chops in the hot pan and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until a nice golden-brown crust forms.
- While the chops are cooking, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, black pepper, paprika, and chopped rosemary in a small bowl to create your glaze.
- Transfer the seared lamb chops to a plate and reduce the heat to medium-low. Drain most of the excess fat from the pan but leave about a tablespoon for flavor.
- Pour the honey-garlic mixture into the skillet, stirring constantly as it begins to bubble. Let it simmer for about 1 minute until slightly thickened.
- Return the lamb chops to the pan, turning them several times to coat thoroughly with the glaze. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting frequently with the sauce until the chops reach your desired doneness.
- Remove from heat and let the lamb chops rest in the pan for 2 minutes.
Notes
- The glaze will continue to thicken while the lamb chops rest.
