Irresistible Pomegranate-Glazed Green Beans for Your Holiday Table


Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 3–4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
  2. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. After 1–2 minutes, drain again and pat dry.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add blanched green beans and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and top with pomegranate seeds, toasted almonds, and optional thyme.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.
