Irresistible Pomegranate-Glazed Green Beans for Your Holiday Table

- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 3–4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
- Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. After 1–2 minutes, drain again and pat dry.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add blanched green beans and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and cook for 1 more minute.
- Transfer to a serving dish and top with pomegranate seeds, toasted almonds, and optional thyme.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
