These Mongolian Beef Meatballs are tender, juicy, and coated in a sweet and savory Mongolian-style sauce. Perfect as an appetizer, main dish, or served over rice or noodles for a delicious meal.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- For the sauce:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Form into 12–16 meatballs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, cornstarch, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Pour sauce into the skillet and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
