Decadent Pastry Wrapped Cranberry Baked Brie Delight

- 12 oz Fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup Orange juice
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Sea salt
- 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz Brie cheese
- 1/2 cup Toasted pecans (chopped)
- 1 large Beaten egg (for brushing)
- 1 tbsp Coarse sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium pot, combine the cranberries, orange juice, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sea salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens into a jammy consistency.
- Preheat the Oven: While the sauce cools, preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Assemble the Brie: Lay the thawed puff pastry flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the brie wheel in the center, cutting a little rind off the top to expose the creamy goodness. Spread the cranberry sauce generously over the brie and sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
- Wrap It Up: Gently fold the corners of the pastry over the brie, encasing it snugly. Brush the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg, and sprinkle a bit of coarse sugar on top for added sweetness.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake your masterpiece in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is deep golden brown and puffs up beautifully.
- Serve & Enjoy: Let it cool for a few minutes and then serve alongside your favorite bread, crackers, or simply enjoy it with a spoon.
