Description

Ingredients

  • 2 sleeves of Ritz crackers (about 32 crackers)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lay the Ritz crackers in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir constantly until bubbling. Cook 3–5 minutes until thickened and golden. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Quickly pour the hot toffee evenly over the crackers, spreading gently if needed.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the toffee becomes bubbly and golden.
  6. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals. Spread melted chocolate evenly over the warm toffee.
