These Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with rich chocolate chips and gooey caramel bits, finished with a sprinkle of sea salt.

- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup soft caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and caramel bits.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt immediately after removing from the oven.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
- For chewier cookies, underbake slightly.
