- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Line a 13×9 inch baking sheet with parchment paper, extending over the edges. Spread 4 cups of pretzel sticks evenly on the parchment.
- In a heavy saucepan, melt 1 cup unsalted butter. Stir in 1 cup packed brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and cook for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Carefully pour the hot caramel mixture evenly over the pretzels, spreading with a spatula if needed to coat.
- Melt 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips using a microwave or double boiler until smooth. Drizzle melted chocolate evenly over the caramel and pretzels. Immediately sprinkle generously with sea salt, to taste.
- Chill the bark in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm. Once set, lift the parchment paper to transfer the bark to a cutting board and break into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container at cool room temperature or in the refrigerator.
