- ½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- ¼ cup graham cracker crumbs
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Mini marshmallows and extra graham cracker crumbs (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Make the Dough: Whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Divide dough in half, flatten into discs, wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll and Cut Dough: Roll out one dough disc to ⅛ inch thickness. Cut into 3×4 inch rectangles. Repeat with the second disc. You should have 16 rectangles for 8 pop tarts.
- Assemble Pop Tarts: Place half the rectangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread 1 tablespoon of marshmallow creme in the center of each, leaving a border. Add chocolate chips and graham cracker crumbs. Top with another dough rectangle and press edges with a fork to seal. Prick the tops with a fork.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 20–22 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
- Glaze and Garnish: Whisk powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla for the glaze. Drizzle over cooled tarts. Garnish with mini marshmallows or crushed graham crackers if desired.
