- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more if you love heat)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1–2 tablespoons cold water (as needed)
Instructions
- Add shredded cheddar, flour, softened butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, and salt into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture forms coarse crumbs. Slowly add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough begins to come together.
- Remove the dough from the food processor and form it into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Use a small biscuit cutter, knife, or pizza cutter to cut the dough into bite-sized squares, circles, or fun shapes.
- Place the crackers onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden around the edges. Let them cool completely before storing or serving.
