- 4 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg (optional)
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into ¼-inch wedges for even cooking.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until foamy and slightly golden.
- Add the sliced apples to the skillet and stir to coat evenly. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt over the apples. Stir to coat.
- Cook an additional 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender and glazed.
- Serve warm. Enjoy them on pancakes, with pork, or over vanilla ice cream.
