Description
A silky, spreadable cinnamon honey butter inspired by Texas Roadhouse, perfect for warm rolls, biscuits, and more.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature (2 sticks)
- 1/3 cup honey, room temperature
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 to 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon, to taste
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Let the butter sit out until cool but pliable.
- Beat the butter alone for 2 to 3 minutes until it looks pale and fluffy.
- Add the honey in a slow stream while mixing on low. Increase to medium and beat for 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle in the powdered sugar and cinnamon. Mix on low until combined, then whip on medium-high for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Taste and add a pinch of salt if needed. If using vanilla, beat it in now.
- Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes, then give it a quick stir and serve.
Notes
- Use European-style butter for richer flavor.
- Mild clover or wildflower honey works best.
- Powdered sugar stabilizes the butter.
- Use freshly opened cinnamon for best flavor.
