These irresistible Pizza Burgers transform two comfort food favorites into one mouthwatering mashup.

- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean / 20% fat)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 16–24 slices pepperoni
Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- Divide the seasoned beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ½-inch thick. Press your thumb into the center of each patty.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers cook, toast the hamburger buns until they’re just golden brown.
- Spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun, then place a cooked burger on top.
- Top each burger with ¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and 4-6 slices of pepperoni. Place the assembled burger halves under the broiler for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the top buns and serve immediately while the cheese is still melted.
Notes
- For medium burgers, look for an internal temperature of 160°F.
- A little crispness on the buns prevents sogginess.
- These are best served hot for the best cheese stretch.
