  • 1 prepared vegan pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme or sage
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup spinach or kale leaves
  • 1/2 cup vegan mozzarella (optional)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in pumpkin puree, onion powder, thyme or sage, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the vegan pumpkin pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated stone.
  5. Spread the pumpkin sauce evenly over the dough.
  6. Top with sliced onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach or kale, and vegan mozzarella if using.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes or fresh herbs if desired before slicing this delicious vegan pumpkin pizza.

Notes

  • Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
